Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) company Strategic Thought Group (STG) is strengthening its team of Risk Practioners with the appointment of Alastair Allison as the Head of Risk Management Services thereby meeting customer demand for consultancy and implementation services around ERM strategies.

STG, creator of risk management software Active Risk Manager (ARM) has appointed Alastair Allison as Head of Risk Management Services. The new appointment further strengthens the company’s team of expert Risk Practioners, formed to meet the increased demand by customers for Enterprise Risk Management ERM implementation specialists. Strategic Thought has already built a credible reputation with many government and large enterprise customers for its successful programme deployment of ERM strategies and practice.

Alastair Allison has over twenty years of risk, crisis management, project and programme management experience.  Reporting direct to board level, he was Enterprise Risk Manager for Paradigm Secure Communications Ltd, the first commercial company to provide secure satellite communications to the UK Ministry of Defence and other international customers. At Paradigm Allison was responsible for developing the project and programme risk management practices along with business risk practices to support wider business needs including legal and commercial risks.

Prior to joining Paradigm, Allison was a Senior Consultant with Vectra Ltd, advising commercial and military organisations on dealing with risks that might impact strategic and detailed business objectives. Allison began his career within the UK Royal Air Force, rising to Commissioned Officer where he was recognised as a subject matter expert in technical project management, business continuity and risk assessment. He has extensive experience in developing best practices and in leading multi-disciplinary teams.
